Chocolate Brownie Recipe

Mmmmm, tasty slabs of chocolate (4x5cm)

1x Mix [2x Mix]

Makes 26 [52]

Equipment

  • 1 [2] Trays ~550cm2
  • Large Mixing Bowl (powdery bowl)
  • Medium Heat Proof Bowl (choccy bowl)
  • Jug (can be bowl) (eggy jug/bowl)
  • Mixing spoon
  • Fork (for whisking)
  • Table Spoon (for chocolate/butter stirring)

Choccy Ingredients

  • 125 [250]g Unsalted Butter, chopped
  • 63 [125]g Dark Cooking Chocolate
  • 63 [125]g White Cooking Chocolate

Eggy Ingredients

  • 3 [6] Eggs
  • 1.5 [3] tsp Vanilla Extract

Powdery Ingredients

  • 335 [670]g White Sugar
  • 115 [230]g Plain Flour
  • 30 [60]g Cocoa Powder
  • 4 [8] grinds Salt
  • 100 [200] White Chocolate Chips

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180C or 160C if fan forced
  2. Grease a 20cm square cake pan (or similar) and line with baking paper
  3. Dump choccy ingredients into a heat proof bowl (choccy bowl)
  4. Put the choccy bowl of a saucepan of simmering water (double boiler) and stir the ingredients periodically
  5. Combine the powdery ingredients into a large mixing bowl (powdery bowl) and mix together
  6. Combine the eggy ingredients into a jug/bowl (eggy jug/bowl) and whisk
  7. Mix other bowls into the powdery bowl
  8. Lay the mix into tray(s) evenly
  9. Put in oven and cook for 25 minutes (or until a skewer inserted into center comes out with moist crumbs clinging)
  10. Set aside to cool a little
  11. While still warm take off the baking paper
  12. While still warm cut the brownies into squares, triangles, hexagons - whatever shape you wish (I cut mine into squares)
  13. Allow to cool completely
